Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Sure, you always wanted to include more inclusive language in your teaching. You care about your students and their success. However, we know that not all faculty members are in the same stage of their career and/or have different academic and administrative loads. Furthermore, the pandemic showed us that we are not all in the same mental space and that we do not all have the same available resources to implement changes. Therefore, this session is made for you!
  • We’ll start with an initial overview of tangible while simple actions you can take tomorrow to improve inclusion and equity in your classroom with minimal efforts;
  • The remaining three-quarters of the session will be dedicated to hands-on and concrete action as you’ll be grouped by four and tasked to initially reflect on how reading a syllabus segment made you feel. Then, you’ll be tasked with a revising that segment using a set of provided guidelines.
This session will provide you the tools you need to empower you on your journey toward a more inclusive and equitable classroom because progress is always possible and the end goal is students’ success.
